The Following is een nieuwe angstaanjagende serie en volgt de Amerikaanse
uitzendingen met een week, waar de eerste aflevering op 21 januari wordt
uitgezonden. De serie die gekenmerkt wordt door dezelfde bloedstollende
spanningsbogen als Seven en Silence of the Lambs is nu al een van de meest
spraakmakende series in Amerika. Ondanks dat de serie nog moet beginnen is
heel Amerika in de ban van Kevin Bacon, die in zijn rol als voormalig
FBI-agent Ryan Hardy, als consultant wordt gevraagd wanneer beruchte
seriemoordenaar Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) uit de gevangenis weet te ontsnappen.
